Pre-conference workshop

The traditional ISMET workshop will be organised on the morning of Wednesday 8th July 2026

This half-day training event is designed for 30 PhD students and early-career researchers, providing accessible insights into fundamental and technical aspects of bioelectrochemical systems (BES). Places are limited and registration is required.

Theme 2026: Modelling approaches for BES

This year’s workshop focuses on modelling approaches and their value for BES research. Through lectures and practical examples, participants will discover how modelling can help save time, avoid experimental dead-ends, and improve understanding of complex bioelectrochemical systems.

The training sessions aim to demystify modelling and highlight how it can be effectively used, either independently or in collaboration.
